Gameplay features and bonuses

Hellapenos features a gaming grid comprising 5 reels and rows arranged in a format of 3-3-4-4-4-4, offering a total of 100 paylines. With its high volatility, this game boasts an RTP (Return to Player) rate of 96.19% and provides players with the potential to win up to 5,000 times their bet.

Multiplier Wild Symbol: Within the game, the Multiplier Wild symbol (with a value of x2) is a substitute for all other symbols, excluding the Scatter and Expanding Devil symbols. Any win achieved on a connected payline that includes one or more Multiplier Wild symbols will be subject to multiplication based on their respective multipliers. The maximum cumulative multiplier attainable from Multiplier Wild symbols within a single payline is an impressive x8 (2x2x2).

Random Wilds: Notably, the symbols on the two leftmost reels consistently appear stacked in groups of 2-5 symbols. Should these two leftmost reels consist of identical symbol sets, the game introduces an exciting feature where 1-3 Multiplier Wild symbols will be randomly dispersed onto reels 3-5, increasing the chances of impressive wins.

Expanding Devil Symbol: The Expanding Devil symbol has the potential to appear on reels 3-5, with a maximum of one symbol per reel. When this symbol contributes to a winning combination, it expands to encompass the entire reel and effectively substitutes for all other symbols except the Scatter symbol. It remains inactive as a wild symbol unless expanded. Notably, if an Expanding Devil symbol expands across one or two Multiplier Wild symbols, it transforms into a multiplier (with a value of x2) that is applied to the entire reel. In cases where a winning combination involves more than one Expanding Devil symbol with a multiplier, these multiplier values are multiplied together and subsequently applied to the win. This can lead to an impressive total multiplier ranging from x2 to x64 when Multiplier Wild symbols are part of a single payline.

Bonus Game: Triggered by the appearance of 3 Scatter symbols anywhere on reels 3-5, the Bonus Game offers players 7 free spins. During this Bonus Game, Expanding Devil symbols landing anywhere on reels 3-5 serve a special purpose. They activate the respective reel for the remainder of the Bonus Game, ensuring that with each spin on the activated reel, a new Expanding Devil symbol is introduced. When an Expanding Devil symbol becomes part of a winning combination, it expands to cover the entire reel, effectively turning it into a wild reel. Similar to its behavior in the base game, it remains inactive as a wild symbol unless expanded. This thrilling feature enhances the potential for significant wins during the Bonus Game.

Bonus Buy: Hellapenos provides a Bonus Buy option for players who prefer to expedite their gameplay experience. By investing 70 times their initial bet, players can access the Bonus Game without the need for extensive gameplay.

Design and Soundtrack

The game's design immerses players in the eerie ambiance of the devil's cave, meticulously illustrated as a sinister yet captivating bar setting. The attention to detail in the graphics creates a hauntingly atmospheric experience. Complementing this visual feast, the soundtrack enhances the suspense and excitement with a haunting melody that perfectly underscores the devilish theme, ensuring an engaging and immersive gaming experience.

The Bottom Line

With its unique Expanding Devil symbol mechanic and the potential for high multipliers, players can look forward to thrilling gameplay and the chance to secure substantial wins. The game's captivating design and haunting soundtrack add to its overall appeal, making Hellapenos a must-try for those seeking a devilishly good time in the world of online slots.
