Wanted Salvation

Wanted Salvation is a western-themed slot from the developer Hacksaw Gaming that revisits the ideas behind one of the studio's most recognizable releases. The game pairs explosive VS multipliers with three distinct bonus features, all wrapped in a darker frontier setting. Familiar mechanics remain at the heart of the action, though a new presentation and feature set give this version its own identity.

Gameplay Features and Bonuses

Wanted Salvation uses a 5×5 reel layout with 15 fixed paylines. Winning combinations form from left to right across adjacent positions on any active payline. The game’s RTP is set at 96% and is paired with high volatility. The maximum won can go up to 12,500x the wager, and bets can be adjusted between €0,20 and €75.

Wild Symbol: The Wild substitutes for every regular pay symbol. It does not replace bonus Scatters or VS symbols.

VS Symbol: The VS figure is the game's signature mechanic. Whenever part of a winning combination, it expands across its entire reel and reveals 2 outlaws, each with a multiplier.

After the duel, the higher multiplier survives and applies to the whole reel, which also becomes fully Wild. In case multiple VS symbols activate on the same spin, their multiplier values combine before the final result receives the total multiplier.

Possible values include 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x, 20x, 25x, 50x, and 100x. A VS symbol on every reel turns the entire grid Wild.

Duel at Dawn Bonus: 3 or more Duel Scatters award 10 Free Spins. This mechanic places extra VS icons on the reels, which creates more chances for reel expansions, Wild reels, and large multiplier combinations.

Dead Man's Hand Bonus: 3 or more Dead Scatters trigger a 2-part bonus round.

• The first stage focuses on collection, where Wilds and multipliers add to separate meters. Every successful collection resets the spin counter to 3.
• Once the collection phase ends, the feature shifts into a showdown second stage. The accumulated Wilds appear on the reels, and every win receives the total multiplier gathered during the opening phase.

The Great Train Robbery Bonus: 3 or more Train Robbery Scatters activate 10 Free Spins. Every Wild that lands remains locked in place until the feature ends, which can gradually fill the grid and increase the chance of larger payouts.

Bonus Buy: Players who have access to Bonus Buy can purchase entry into any of the 3 bonus rounds.

• The Great Train Robbery costs 80x the stake
• Duel at Dawn costs 200x the selected bet
• Dead Man's Hand costs 400x

Visuals and Symbols

Wanted Salvation leans heavily into a gritty Wild West atmosphere. A blood-red sky, twisted dead tree, and masked gunslinger set a dark backdrop that feels far removed from the bright cowboy themes common in many western slots. The 5×5 grid resembles a weathered wooden notice board. Bold colors, comic-book-inspired artwork, and sharp visual effects give the game a rugged personality that matches its high-risk gameplay.

Card ranks 10, J, Q, K, and A form the low-paying group and award up to 2x the stake for 5 of a kind. Premium symbols consist of the bull skull, outlaw, money bag, whiskey bottle, and revolver cylinder. The revolver cylinder is the highest-paying regular symbol and awards up to 40x the stake.

Players who enjoy the theme of this slot can also try out other titles, such as Bloody Dawn by Pragmatic Play or The Good, The Bad, and The Rich by Red Tiger Gaming.

The Bottom Line

Wanted Salvation packs plenty of firepower through its trio of bonus rounds, sticky Wilds, and the ever-dangerous VS mechanic. Duel at Dawn offers frequent multiplier clashes, Dead Man's Hand adds a collection phase that can set up huge rewards, and The Great Train Robbery delivers a simpler Free-Spin option with locked Wilds. None of these ideas reinvent the formula, but they create enough variety to keep sessions interesting. Players who enjoy volatile slots with the potential for massive multiplier combinations will find this one enjoyable.
