Thai Flower Power Play

Thai culture provides the inspiration for Thai Flower Power Play, an online slot from Blueprint Gaming aimed at players who enjoy culturally themed settings. Several special symbols and features support the gameplay, each designed to increase winning opportunities and make sessions more rewarding and enjoyable.

Gameplay Features and Bonuses

Thai Flower Power Play keeps a traditional layout, with a 5×3 grid and 10 paylines. The RTP of 94% sits below the industry average, the volatility is high, and the maximum win is 1,200x the total bet.

Lotus Wild and Bonus Scatter: The pink lotus flower serves two roles at once. It substitutes for all other symbols as a Wild, and it also acts as the Bonus Scatter that triggers the Free Games. In the regular base game, it is active only on reels 1, 3, and 5.

Free Games: Landing 3 Bonus Scatters anywhere on the reels awards 12 Free Games. At the start of the round, 3 symbols are chosen at random, and only those symbols remain active until every Free Game has been played. The lotus does not take part in any feature, so it cannot substitute or retrigger once the round begins.

Power Play Modes: Depending on the operator's configuration, players can activate one of three Power Play modes, each at a higher cost per spin.

• Power Play (100% higher cost): Wins of 2.5x the base stake or more trigger the Power Play Wheel.
• Super Power Play (200% higher cost): The Power Play Wheel stays active, and only high-paying symbols appear on the reels.
• Ultra Power Play (400% higher cost): The Power Play Wheel stays active, only high-paying symbols appear, and the lotus is active on every reel.

In Super and Ultra Power Play, the 3 symbols selected for the Free Games are always picture symbols.

Power Play Wheel: The wheel spins after a qualifying win and awards a win multiplier of up to x5 or between 8 and 20 Free Games. When it awards Free Games, the win that triggered the wheel is carried into the bonus round.

Ultra Power Play Lotus Pays: Ultra Power Play changes the lotus considerably. With the symbol active on all five reels, a fourth or fifth Bonus Scatter becomes possible, raising the Free Games award to 16 or 20. Lotus symbols landing on consecutive reels also pay line wins and can add Free Games.

• 2 consecutive lotus symbols: 1x the base stake
• 3 consecutive lotus symbols: 5x the base stake and 12 Free Games
• 4 consecutive lotus symbols: 20x the base stake and 16 Free Games
• 5 consecutive lotus symbols: 100x the base stake and 20 Free Games

Design and Soundtrack

Thai Flower Power Play is set inside a temple, where gold pillars rise between walls covered in traditional paintings. The symbols draw on the same culture, with golden urns, long-tail boats, elephants, Thai temples, and a woman wearing a flower in her hair appearing next to card ranks from 10 to A. The soundtrack complements the theme and adds to the calm temple atmosphere.

Thai Blossoms by Betsoft and Lucky Drums 88 by Pragmatic Play offer comparable settings and gameplay features, making them worth considering as alternatives.

The Bottom Line

Thai Flower Power Play depends heavily on how much players are willing to spend per spin. The standard game is fairly limited, with the lotus active on only three reels, but Ultra Power Play changes that by opening every reel to the lotus, keeping only high-paying symbols, and adding direct lotus payouts. That mode costs 400% more per spin, though, and the 94% RTP and 1,200x maximum win leave little room for large returns. The game suits players who enjoy adjusting their risk more than those chasing big wins.
