Sakura Masks

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Sakura Masks, a visually stunning slot game by Red Tiger. This game invites players to experience the beauty and thrill of a visually pleasing Asian theme paired with innovative gaming mechanics. With its highly volatile gameplay and a plethora of engaging features, Sakura Masks promises not just a feast for the eyes but also a captivating challenge for enthusiasts seeking to unlock the mysteries and rewards hidden within its reels.

Gameplay features and bonuses

Sakura Masks is set on a vibrant 5-reel, 3-row grid featuring 20 distinct paylines. This game boasts a highly volatile mathematical model complemented by an RTP of 95.74%.

Prize Ladder: A key feature of Sakura Masks is the Prize Ladder. Players are rewarded with cash prizes when 3 or more Sakura Mask symbols land of any kind on the reels. The prize amount is determined by the quantity of visible Sakura Mask symbols corresponding to values displayed on the adjacent prize ladder. The payouts escalate dramatically with the number of masks: landing 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 masks yields a reward of 1x, 5x, 15x, 40x, 100x, 500x, 2,000x, and 5,000x the bet, respectively.

Without the Sakura Wild on the reels, players have the chance to encounter up to 10 Sakura Mask symbols in a single spin. These symbols appear in three variants: the standard Sakura Mask, the Respin Sakura Mask, and the Multiplier Sakura Mask.

• Respin Sakura Mask: This symbol activates a respin upon landing, with only one appearing per spin. During the respin, all Sakura Mask symbols, including any Sakura Wilds, are held in place.
• Multiplier Sakura Mask: This symbol arrives with a multiplier of either x2 or x3. Like the Respin Sakura Mask, only one Multiplier Sakura Mask can appear per spin, applying its multiplier to any winnings from the prize ladder.

Wild Symbols: Sakura Masks features two types of Wilds. Regular Wilds substitute for any paying symbol, aiding in forming winning combinations. The Sakura Wild is a special 1×3 Super Wild, and it only appears fully stacked on the central reel. It counts as 3 Sakura Mask symbols for the prize ladder calculations and can result in up to 7 Sakura Mask symbols landing when present.

Free Spins: The game awards 8 free spins when 3 Scatters land on reels 1, 3, and 5 during the base game. In this mode, Scatters and the Sakura Wild are mutually exclusive. Triggering an additional +5 free spins is possible during this round by landing 2 Scatters on reels 1 and 5. Notably, the Sakura Wild is locked on the middle reel at the commencement of the free spins, remaining there until the feature concludes.

Players also have two Bonus Buy options, both of which offer an enhanced RTP of 96%:

• For 5 times the bet, this option guarantees a spin with at least 3 mask symbols.
• Priced at 50 times the bet, this option directly purchases the free spins round.

Design and Soundtrack

The aesthetic of Sakura Masks marries traditional elegance with modern vibrancy, featuring symbols from brush stroke-inspired J to A royals to culturally resonant icons like a paper fan, ornate hair accessory, bracelet, and green shoes. An immersive soundtrack accompanies each spin, blending serene melodies with the exhilarating sounds of winning, creating a harmonious and engaging atmosphere.

For those captivated by the visual charm of Sakura Masks, this sort of design can also be found in titles such as Quickspin's Sakura Fortune and Pragmatic Play's Grace of Ebisu.

The Bottom Line

Sakura Masks stands out with its Prize Ladder and the innovative Respin and Multiplier Sakura Masks, which enhance the gameplay dynamically. The volatility of the game promises thrilling high-stake opportunities, with the Sakura Wild and free spins adding layers of excitement. The Bonus Buy feature, offering higher RTP options, caters to those preferring a more direct path to the game's rich features. Overall, Sakura Masks offers a well-rounded, feature-rich experience for players seeking depth and excitement in their slot play.
