The Runemakers DoubleMax

Crafted by Yggdrasil's partner studio, Bang Bang Games, The Runemakers DoubleMax is a captivating slot game that brings the innovative DoubleMax multiplier into the realm of cluster-paying slots. Set in an enchanting, mysterious dark forest, this slot enthrals players with its whimsical design and gameplay, with wins granted irrespective of the symbols' positions on the reels. Additionally, players are treated to an array of features, including escalating multipliers, Free Spins, mystery symbols, and more.

Gameplay features and bonuses

The Runemakers DoubleMax unfolds on a 6×6 gaming grid, where symbols pay anywhere they land. A minimum of 5 matching symbols, connecting horizontally or vertically, is required to form a winning cluster. The game boasts a solid RTP of 96% and is characterised by extra high volatility.

Dropdown Feature: This feature allows winning symbols to vanish from the reels, allowing new symbols to cascade down. This creates additional opportunities for wins. Remarkably, each Dropdown win introduces 1 to 5 Wild symbols into the empty spaces, followed by other symbols, continuing the sequence until no further wins are possible.

DoubleMax: Each Dropdown win results in a doubling of the total win multiplier. During regular play, the multiplier resets after a non-winning spin or Dropdown. In contrast, in the Free Spins mode, the multiplier, starting at x1, remains active throughout the bonus session.

Mystic Mysteries: During symbol replacement, Mystic symbols can emerge. Post-win, these may transform into mystery symbols. All mystery symbols on the reels will reveal the same symbol type, excluding Scatters or Wilds.

Runemaker's Free Spins: Triggered by landing at least 3 Scatter symbols in the base game, this bonus starts with seven free spins. Players can gamble for additional spins on a wheel, potentially increasing the free spins from 7 to 11. However, an unsuccessful gamble results in the loss of free spins and a return to the base game.

Bonus Boost: Before a spin, there’s an option to increase the bet by 50%, enhancing the likelihood of activating the Free Spins feature.

Buy Bonus: Players can purchase seven free spins for 125 times the bet. Post-purchase, there's an opportunity to gamble for more spins.

Design and Soundtrack

The Runemakers DoubleMax offers a mystical and aesthetically pleasing design. The reels, entwined with ivy, display an array of symbols, including vibrantly coloured stones and runes carved into gems. The backdrop sets a scene in a mysterious forest, bathed in an ethereal mix of blue and purple hues. While the design may not delve into profound depths, its craftsmanship is undeniable, with both the visuals and sound effects exuding a charm that is sure to captivate fans of fantastical-themed slots.

For enthusiasts of this enchanting theme and style, similar experiences can be found in games like Thunderstruck Stormchaser by Stormcraft Studios or Starfire Fortunes by Yggdrasil Gaming.

Elements like mystery symbols and the chance to gamble for additional Free Spins add to the excitement. Overall, this slot promises a captivating and potentially rewarding experience.
