Olympus Trueways

Olympus Trueways is an online slot developed by BGaming. This game is designed for players who enjoy titles inspired by Greek mythology. In addition, the slot incorporates several distinctive features intended to enhance the chances of landing wins, potentially resulting in more rewarding sessions.

Gameplay features and bonuses

Olympus Trueways is set on an unconventional grid featuring 6 reels and between 2 and 8 rows, which change with every spin. The slot offers a high volatility experience with 262,144 potential paylines and an RTP rate of 96.84%.

Wilds With Multipliers: Wild symbols can land on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5. These substitute for all regular symbols in winning combinations, except for Scatters. During the Free Spins round, every Wild carries a multiplier of x2, x3, or x5. All multipliers on a single spin are added together and applied to any resulting wins.

Coin Respin Feature: Triggering this feature requires 6 or more Coin symbols to land in a single base game spin. Each Coin can carry a value of x1, x2, x3, x4, x5, x6, x8, x10, x12, x15, x20, or x100 the total bet. The feature begins with 3 Respins, with the triggering Coin symbols locked in place.

Each time a new Coin or Lightning symbol appears, the Respin count resets to 3. The round ends when no Respins remain or when all positions on the reels are filled with Coin symbols.

Lightning Symbols: These only appear during the Coin Respin feature and can land in large, medium, or small units. When a Lightning symbol lands, it splits the occupied unit into 2 smaller ones.

These new units are initially empty, allowing new symbols to drop into them from the next spin. If a Lightning symbol lands in a small unit, it randomly selects a filled large or medium unit and splits it into 2 smaller units, each retaining the original symbol’s value.

Jackpots: Jackpots are awarded exclusively within the Coin Respin feature. There are three Jackpot types: Mini, Major, and Mega. The Mini and Major Jackpots are won when their respective Jackpot Coin symbols appear.

To win the Mega Jackpot, all 48 positions on the reels must be filled with Coin symbols. The Mega Jackpot only becomes available once the lightning bolt in Zeus’s hand is charged with Scatter symbols. Each time a Scatter lands, it contributes to this progression.

Free Spins: This feature is triggered by landing 4, 5, or 6 Scatter symbols, awarding 12, 15, or 20 Free Spins, respectively. During the Free Spins round, landing an additional 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters grants a further 5, 12, 15, or 20 spins.

Buy Bonus: Players who wish to skip the base game and enter a feature directly can use the Buy Bonus option. It allows them to purchase either the Coin Respin or Free Spins feature for 100x their total bet.

Design and Soundtrack

Olympus Trueways places players in a setting inspired by Greek mythology. The backdrop features a marble temple set high among thick, white clouds, creating a sense of divine elevation. A depiction of Zeus stands to the left of the grid, reinforcing the mythological theme.

The reels are filled with various symbols, including yellow, blue, red, and purple crystal gems, along with shields, axes, helmets, and crowns. Moreover, a suitably themed soundtrack complements the visual elements and ties the design together.

For players interested in similar titles with related themes and mechanics, Gates of Olympus Super Scatter by Pragmatic Play and Zeus Goes Wild by BGaming are noteworthy options.

The Bottom Line

Olympus Trueways offers several engaging features, including Wild multipliers during Free Spins, a Coin Respin bonus with potential Jackpot prizes, and dynamic Lightning symbols that expand reel positions.

The inclusion of a Buy Bonus option adds flexibility for those who prefer direct access to features. Combined with shifting reel rows and up to 262,144 paylines, the mechanics are built to keep the gameplay varied and feature-focused.
